Simon Snellgrove is the founding principal of PWP, bringing a passion for quality and commitment to the local community. He had over 40 years of experience in the real estate development and institutional real estate investment management before forming Pacific Waterfront Partners.
He began his real estate career in 1970 when he joined The Portman Companies with which he worked over the following 20 years. He was soon transferred to San Francisco to work on development of the Embarcadero Center and was promoted to Director of Development. After completing Embarcadero Center, Simon was transferred to Singapore where he represented The Portman Companies as Director of Development in a joint venture with Singapore Land in the development of Marina Square, a $1.2B project consisting of three luxury hotels and a 1.4M sq. ft. shopping center. After returning to the US, he became Senior Vice President of Portman Holdings involved in numerous multi-use projects throughout the US and Asia.
After leaving Portman to return to the Bay Area, Simon was recruited by the Australian firm to start U.S. Lend Lease, Inc. and was also appointed Managing Director to start Lend Lease in London. At Lend Lease he was responsible for the formation and promotion of two global real estate investment funds and investment in various real estate assets around the world.
He founded PWP not long after leaving Lend Lease.
